This full-frame Nikon is cheap, with 3 different lens options, plus the one I’d choose (and why)
For a full-frame mirrorless camera from a big name, the Nikon Z5 is very good value available for a great price thanks to this highly competitive Amazon deal. You can buy it body only for just $990, or pay more to get it with a compact 24-50mm kit lens for under $1300, or spend a bit more (again) and get the incredibly versatile 24-200mm lens for just under $1800.
For shooting portraits, I’d choose the Z5 body only, and then look for a 50mm f/1.4 or f/1.8 prime lens to go with it, or the 40mm f/2 lens that is even cheaper, at $276.
For a general walk-around everyday camera set up, I’d go for the Nikon Z5 with 24-50mm lens, as it’s nice and compact and gives a reasonable zoom range, albeit with a slower aperture than dedicated prime lenses – this would make a good combination with the 40mm f/2 for portraits and low-light shooting.
Buy NowAnd finally, if I was going to keep one lens on the camera, and wanted to be able to go from wide-angle to telephoto zoom, I’d go for the Nikon Z5 with 24-200mm superzoom lens.

The Nikon Z5 came out nearly six years ago, but it’s still got a high-quality 24MP full-frame sensor, and is a great choice of you don’t need the latest all singing, all dancing AI-driven camera features, and fancy video extras.
As we said in our original review, the Nikon Z5 is ‘a capable, reliable full-frame camera with a quality feel, decent specs, and ever-expanding range of good lenses.’ See ‘related reading’ for a link to the best Nikon Z lenses!
